Nougat, the success of a recipe
Since the 17th century, Montélimar nougat has been appreciated for its sweet and subtle flavours. Its ancestral recipe is composed of honey, sugar, almonds and egg white. Once mixed, these ingredients are steamed and then spread on a wooden board to form a thick layer. After cooling, the nougat is sliced and covered with icing sugar.
Every year, Montélimar organises a nougat festival during the summer. Only an hour's drive from your accommodation at the Sources de Montbrun Les Bains residence, you can taste these delicacies and even watch demonstrations of nougat making.
To complete this day of discovery, you can also take advantage of the many stands selling local products, games and shows for the whole family.
