A visit to Puy du Fou is the prospect of an unforgettable experience, rich in emotion. Relive the major events in the history of France, from the Roman Empire to the First World War via the Viking invasions, the Renaissance and the Wars in the Vendée. Here is a little foretaste of what is waiting for you!
The Sign of Triumph: enter the arena in a Gallo-Roman stadium and watch the gladiator combats, chariot races and wild animal fights.
The Vikings: shiver with fear as the "warriors from the sea" launch an attack from their longships and spread terror through the peaceful village of Le Fort in the year 1000 AD.
The Knights of the Round Table: dive into the heart of the legend of King Arthur and Merlin the Magician and discover the powers of the might sword "Excalibur".
The Ghostly Birds' Ball: a chance to see hundreds of birds flying over the ruins of the old castle, just a few inches away from the spectators.
The Secret of the Lance: follow the epic adventures of Joan of Lorraine and her companions-in-arms facing the English invaders during the Hundred Years' War.
The Last Panache: relive the destiny of François-Athanase Charette de la Contrie, known as "Charette", at the heart of clashes during the War in Vendée.

The Puy du Fou villages
In between two shows, take the time to visit the various villages in the Puy du Fou. Here time seems to have stood still. Stroll between the huts with their thatched roofs in Le Fort in the year 1000 AD, the time of the Vikings. Walk along the little streets of the Medieval Town and explore life in the Middle Ages with a chance to meet traditional craftspeople. Pay a visit to the 18th century village with its stone houses and slate roofs, where the "Grand Carillon" rings. Go back in time to the village of Le Bourg 1900, with its indoor market, traditional café and carousel. And all through your visit, you will see little historical playlets and activities specially designed for children, including "The Firemen's Ballet" and "The Imaginary World of La Fontaine".
The Puy du Fou Cinéscénie
Have you booked your tickets for the Cinéscénie well ahead of time? Then you just need to find accommodation near Puy du Fou for a night, a weekend or more. Then look no further and see what's on offer at our holiday residence in Vendée! You can then set off for the Cinéscénie, the world's biggest night-time show, with perfect peace of mind! The show is packed with emotion and features over 2,500 volunteer actors, both adults and children, on a gigantic open-air stage covering 23 hectares. For over 1 hours and 30 minutes of spectacular entertainment, the Cinéscénie takes you on a journey through Vendée history. A feast for the eyes from beginning to end!
