There is plenty to see in the Vendée region!
The Olydea les Epesses is a central base camp in the region, an opportunity to explorer the nooks and crannies of the Vendée countryside, including exceptional sites such as Mont des Alouettes or the Maulévrier Oriental Park. Picturesque villages are nestled here and there, introducing visitors to magnificent views over dazzling landscapes. You can also visit Saint-Michel-Mont-Mercure and Saint-André-sur-Sèvre.
History and leisure activites
The region is very rich in history. This explains the large number of major sites for visitors, such as the Puy du Fou (a big favourite with French people) and the castles in Saint-Mesmin, Talmont, Commequiers and Sigournais.
Leisure activities and theme parks are not forgotten either, with great picnic spots, as well as a whole host of open-air activities, including Indian Forest for fans of treetop adventure courses.
